Our Impact

Over the past eight years, we have helped thousands of girls across the country to have increased self-esteem. We are working in communities daily, encouraging girls to reach for the stars and focus on their gifts, talents and education that can be used to elevate humanity.

Pretty Brown Girl History

A term of endearment from a father to his two daughters, coupled with a mother’s passion to use her God-given gifts to empower others, is what birthed “Pretty Brown Girl”, a Movement founded in 2010 by The Crawley Family that includes products, national events and life-changing programs for girls and young women of color nationwide.

Originally, Sheri and her husband Corey started a unique self-esteem product line for girls and women of color. They quickly discovered a need to make a deeper impact and expanded their organization to include proprietary after-school programs that have been implemented in over 150 schools nationwide, empowering over 5,000 students. These early endeavors have been funded and sponsored 99% by the Crawley’s own efforts.

The Pretty Brown Girl (PBG) Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 2014, has now been established to answer the community need to offer and sustain grassroots programs accessible to girls with the greatest needs.

The Pretty Brown Girl Foundation is committed to inspiring positive self-esteem and self-love among our young women, but we need your help. Join us as we seek to “Empower A Girl and Empower The World”!
